We chose our new location, because we love and enjoy Smithville, the people, and the atmosphere it provides.
The location also provides road frontage access to HWY 70, room for expansion, receiving, sorting, packaging, and distribution from this secure location.
Kerry grew up traveling frequently through Smithville with his dad, going to their family farm in Gainesboro, TN. In Kerry's younger years, he spent weeks of his summers with his grandfather, working the garden, learning to drive tractors and tending to the animals.
Knowing his parents plan to retire to Gainesboro, Smithville is the middle ground. Located half-way to Gainesboro and half-way to Murfreesboro, where Kerry's traditional auction company is located, On The Spot Auction Co., and the place he has have lived his whole life.
Gainesboro is where Kerry, Sr. and Kerry go to find solace, hunt, target practice & fish. Kerry, Jr. is lucky enough to be the 5th generation on the family farm. Kerry's dad has told him many stories about the former generations and things he did on the farm as a boy. Gainesboro is a place deep in Kerry's heart, and a place he cherishes.
Kerry looks forward to learning more about the Smithville area and it's traditions & making new friends, as we get settled into our new location. Smithville reminds us a lot of Gainesboro in many ways. People have been so friendly and kind.
